The Shed Company, redesigned for conversions. A ground-up redesign of New Zealand's premium shed specialist's website, restructuring the content, surfacing trust signals and putting a clear call to action in every section.
After more than a decade as The Shed Company's digital partner, we had the platforms running well. The site was fast, stable and ranking. The next job was to make it sell. The Shed Company had everything a buyer needs to say yes: third-generation family builders, Shed Safe accreditation, site-specific engineering, and warranties of up to 50 years. The problem was that visitors had to dig to find any of it. We redesigned the marketing site and online store around one goal: turn more visitors into enquiries and sales.
The existing site did its job technically, but it read like a template: a hero photo, long blocks of SEO copy and a grid of paragraph-heavy product cards. The Shed Company's strongest selling points sat in a thin strip halfway down the page. Promotions were buried in a sidebar. With dozens of building types, from single garages to hay sheds and hangars, customers had no easy way to find the one they wanted. The challenge was to make the site more navigable, more structured and more enticing to click, without losing the SEO content that already brought in the traffic.

Every section of the page now ends with a clear next step, and every step leads to one of two paths: Get a Quote for engineered and custom builds, or Shop Online for kitset and garden sheds. A persistent header carries Shed Designer and Shop Online buttons alongside a utility bar with the phone number, email and address. Wherever a visitor is on the page, the next step is one click away.
We moved the trust signals to the top of the page. A bold stats bar sits right after the intro, covering years of experience, third-generation family builders, 5 to 50 year warranties and 100% site-specific engineering. A "Why Buy From Us" grid turns the brand's claims into six scannable cards. Further down, a customer review carousel ("Real Sheds, Real Reviews") and a partner logo strip (Cyclone, Dimond, Fletcher Steel, Storetech) back those claims up with third-party credibility.
The promotions moved out of the sidebar and into a dedicated Shop Sheds Online panel. Each offer gets its own card, with the discount code shown as a badge and a direct shop button. Free nationwide depot delivery sits underneath. Behind the panel, the online store runs on Simple Commerce, so products, promotions and content are managed in one Statamic control panel.
The product range is now structured at two levels. Explore Our Shed Styles gives six image-led category cards for quick browsing. Every Shed We Build is a full directory grouped into five buyer categories: Garages & Carports, Farm & Rural, Barns/Homes & Workshops, Industrial & Commercial, and Garden & Kitset. Any product is within two clicks of the homepage.
Most customers have never built a shed before. The new Planning to Build? section walks them through the process one step at a time, starting with an onsite meeting. Each step ends with a quote CTA, which turns a daunting purchase into a clear path forward.
